Classic Crock Pot Chili
This is a classic chili recipe that doesn't need any modifications to be healthy. With a grass fed, organic, low fat, quality ground beef, this is a low saturated fat, sugar free, junk free recipe with an efficient source of soluble fiber. This recipe is great in a crock pot or can be made in a large pot on the stove top.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef (a good quality, low fat beef)
1 chopped green bell pepper
2 cloved of garlic minced
1 large onion diced
3 - 15 ounce cans dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
2 - 15 ounce cans tomato sauce
1 - 14 ounce can diced tomatoes
2 to 3 teaspoons chili powder
3/4 teaspoons dried basil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons cumin
pinch of cayenne pepper
Directions:
Brown beef, onion, bell pepper and garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat on the stove top. Drain fat and transfer to the crock pot.
Add additional ingredients, stir and cover. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or high for 4 to 6 hours.
Note: Leave out the cheese but instead pair with avocado and tortilla chips.
